Cybersecurity hardware appliance packaging

In critical industries—for example energy infrastructure and defense manufacturing—cyber-defenses must protect not only from phishing, network breach, and supply chain attacks but also physical intrusions and removable media. Hardware appliances scan USB and other media and ensure no unauthorized files intrude across the air-gap onto OT and SCADA networks.
The packaging for such a cybersecurity appliance needed to communicate a hard-hitting,  bold, no-nonsense approach appropriate to these needs.
The brand motif needed to wrap around the whole box so the dieline was created using the entire bleed line as mask for the pattern artwork.
The previous packaging project had developed from a white, to blue and white, to a dominant black color theme, and the new large box was designed to complement this.
Turntable views showing final box. An actual production model with accompanying labeling—and wear!
